lyrics

Storm, beeldenstorm, beeldenstorm.

August 1566, the Iconoclastic fury. A catastrophic rage, ablaze from South to North. Beeldenstorm, beeldenstorm.

Decadent Catholics, sober Calvinists. Led to persecutions. Wrecking the legacy, obtained during many centuries. Storm. Lost within a blink of an eye, in a violent rush destroyed. Cultural heritage assets, unique and Irreplaceable.

Monuments of time, utterly defaced. They brake the altars, they wrested the irons. Carved work dashed into pieces. No respect for ancestral essence.

With Alba’s dominance reprisal followed. Suppression, the only remedy. Provocation by all means as reality. Purification of the true belief. No difference in belief, only one true belief.

Heresy to be wiped out. Decapitation of the rebellious nobles. As an
example to intimidate the masses. Converted or to be killed.
